09 Ranger drivetrane
I have a 2009 Ranger 4.0 4X4. I am a high milage driver, 25-30K per year. All highway speed. Vehicle is well maintained, 45K miles currently. Recently, began to experiene bumping-banging feeling in the drivetrain when vehicle is traveling at or about 55-60 mph (RPM 1750) and trany is in overdrive. Almost as if the trany is having difficulty in the OD. Example, reducing speed from 65 to 55, then attempting to speed back up and passing through 1750 rpm to 2000 plus, right in that rpm range, bumping-banging feeling. No other variations noted in the rpm ranges in other exceleration of deceleration drive patterns. Any thoughts on what this might be?
