Front Spring question
(Yes, I posted this in the "Suspension" Forum, but I thought this might be specific to the '67-'72 Trucks)
What is the correct clearance between the axle and bump stop? Mine has 1-1/4" on one side and 1-5/8" on the drivers side. Obviously, my springs are sagging; but my radius arm bushings are not in the best of shape. I have no idea if the inner "I" beam bushings are any good. Could this be one of the causes or should I just buy new springs anyway? Should I get variable rate coils or just stock?
My bumpstops are looking a little crushed............
Oh, I have already replaced the shocks with gas-charged units from NAPA.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks,
