How much are you going to be driving the truck day to day? If it sits more than its used, you may not want such a big tank. You always hear that it's not good to have a tank with little gas in it not getting much use because of condensation. On the flip side, you don't want a full tank of gas sitting long either because it will get stale.
Personally, even if it were getting used pretty often, I would opt to have to stop and fill up more often so the gas is always freshest. I would stick with the 19gal. Plus, there's nothing like seeing the admiration on peoples faces (when stopped at the pump) when you have a truck as sweet as yours. Stop, slow down, let people look.....
Yup B, That's exactly what i'm doin, decided earlier today, gonna keep it simple, and stay with the 19gal! i dont plan on goin too far of a distance with her often so even if i get 8mpgs that will still get 150miles. the 2 chamber flows initiates most of the attention grabbin with this one~ hopefully the new neighbors wont mind it headin out early each morning when its ready to go.
Which one are you going with, the one with or without the roll over valve? I am about to replace mine as well, just not sure which one our 73-79 trucks have...
id love to say i'm 100% on this but i'm not. w/o EEC, w/o roll over valve... i'm going with the EEC, and Rollover valve. but i'm not so sure i need the EEC, so i figure i can always block it.

Your truck could have either. The "roll over valve" is used on vehicles with EEC (evaporative emission control). If your truck has this there will be a charcoal canister mounted to the frame on the passenger side between the radiator and the front of the engine.
The fuel tanks themselves are the same and will interchange with the exception of the nipple for the fuel tank vent that is next to the filler neck nipple. It is on the opposite side of the neck. If you change the tank to the other one you'll need a longer vent hose to "wrap around" the filler neck. The other difference, and this is important. If you change from the EEC tank (with valve) to the non-EEC tank you MUST change your fuel cap to a VENTED cap. If you don't the least you'll experience is fuel starvation problems, the worst is a collapsed fuel tank.
