I think it was that bad either, that load is the high end of what I haul I like to stay between 28000 and 30000 GCVW, that there might have been 36000 I stayed away from the scales for that load.

I would point out that it is 10.6 MPG aggregate. I should have been more clear that that is all the miles and all the gallons I have put on in about the last 14 months and around 9000 miles. I feel that number is pretty accurate becuase it accounts for idle time, winter blend, different loads and conditions.

I rarely drive the truck unhooked from the trailer. It is kind of over kill for just driving around. Alot of guys just drive there trucks around and get way better mileage. You will hear claims all the time for MPG but a F250 Reg cab SRW even if it is 4x4 will pretty much always get better mileage, that is meant to be used differently than how I use my truck.

I would like to get to 11MPG overall. But it is tradeoffs. Do I want to creep away from every stop sign no matter the situation. Am I going to make sure to take it easy everytime I am running up against a deadline to be somewhere on time probalby not. Am I going to take the standard rubber off the front and the wicked aggresive grips off the drives, probably not the little extra cushion is nice and the grips have been nice on a few occasions so I think the MPG penalty out weighs the other benefits. I like my goofy mirrors and use them all the time but they stick way out and catch a lot of wind.
