I like Simonton Double hung vinyl units. I repaired a few of them last year that were installed poorly They are very will made & weatherproof. The sash is 2&1/4 thick & has plenty of space between the glass. I was surprised how heavy a single 2'8' sash weighs. 50 lbs at least
