Another X Headlight Question

Funny...I decide to post this up when there are at least two other active threads are discussing headlights.

Well I am trying to decide between two paths on what would be more beneficial. Currently I have stock 03 headlights/fogs on the X. I did, however, upgrade the bulbs to Sylvania Silverstars - an improvement. So in looking for better lighting options, I came across the britebox - a good idea for those not seeking to hack into their wiring harness. It is really irritating how the low beams shut off as well as the fogs when high beam is selected. But the model I need is over $100. The other option is just converting both headlights and fogs to HID. I've been seeing kits on fleabay for pretty cheap now and know of other guys on FTE who converted. So this brings me to a crossroads: which option do you guys think would provide more bang for the buck, so to speak?

HIDs will provide the best bang for the buck. there are alot of naysayers but its all i run in my trucks and with them aimed correctly you wont be flashed.

Hella 90/110w bulbs and a DIY harness can be done for well under $50, the mod to keep the fogs on is free, replacing the bulbs in the fogs with the higher wattage bulbs is another 20.
I'm one of those that aren't a fan of the HIDS. The lenses do an ok job of shining the light, but I won't give up high beams, and well...they won't pass inspection either.
My '02 lenses and the Hellas have just as much throw as the HIDS in the same housing, without the issue of no highbeam(as most cheap kits are) and there is still a fair amount of scatter even with the better housings.
I just gave away a set of housings with HIDS in them to a buddy, I just couldn't get them aimed in a way where I was happy with the pattern, and this was with a hi/low set.
