I know this might be a dumb question....but what do you guys mean by the word "Dent" when referring to your Ford? I figured it has to do something with Ford Trucks in these years???
Its the line right below the door going down the side of the vehicle they say some people say it looks like it has a dent in it down the side. That is what i was told.
haha Newb! J/K man. Dentside is an enthusiasts term for 73-79 Ford trucks. They have a groove or "dent" running the length of the vehicle in the body panels. The 67-72 trucks have a protruding line here and are thus known as Bumpsides or Bumps.
^^^And don't forget about the slicks. To the OP...I suppose a more appropriate term should be 'indention'. Maybe I was just deaf before, but I've been around 73-79 Fords all my life, and been a proud owner for the last 10 years...and it wasn't until about 3 years ago when I heard the slang term 'dent' used. When I first heard it, I assumed it was an endearing term since most of these old rigs are 'dent'ed up old work trucks. Now, I don't know if I just notice it more, or what.

My English escapes me at the moment but shouldn't it be "indentation"?
Ha! ...better than calling the 73-79s as "Caves"... as in "concave". Bumps would be "Vexes"...as in "convex"... Funny, "Vex" means to cause confusion.... Ford Fusion... wow. full circle and back to the future.
No matter... we dig these rigs whatever they are called. Back to the show.....
