Alright i have one here to stump everyone.... My uncle called me and his 05 f150 STX left speakers both front and back arent working. I took a look at it the other day, i switched his radio with my radio from my 06 f150 stx, then i switched my front speaker out. didnt work. I looked at his back speaker and the magnet on the speaker was stuck in the door. I checked fuses and dont see any blown. Any other ideas?
could be a break or short in the bundle of 4 speaker wires probably between the drivers side door and the radio. Is this on an extended cab or regular cab? I would try to follow the wires back from the speakers to the radio. Possibly leave the radio on so when you get to the break in the wires you'll know where it needs to be fixed. I know you run the risk of blowing the fuse if it shorts out but I guess that's were I would start. I'm sure someone else here has run into something similar and can help you out more. Good luck!
Here are the color coding for the wires from the left speakers to the radio:
left rear + Grey/Light Blue
left rear - Tan/Yellow
left front + Orange/Light Green
left front - Light Blue/White
There is a junction point (C238) before the wires enter the doors down behind the hood release area:
Other than the connections at the speakers and at the back of the radio, C238 is the only other place where all the speaker wires would connect.
I am having the same issue of both left side driver and passenger side speakers not working. Reseated the large driver door jam connector with no change. Saw this post regarding a junction named C238 but i cant seem to locate it.
Any further help or detail on this would be helpful as this seems like the most likely place for this symptom to exhibit itself.
thanks.
Having this same issue was listening to music and the whole left side js stopped and my right side only works with the sub I hear popping when I key the truck on and when changing inputs anyone find issues ?

I replaced the amplifier and it solved the problem. Turn out to be the left channel was shot.

did you also end up getting the same stock amplifier I’m assuming it’s the one under the steering wheel was it plug and play or did you have to wire stuff up
Replaced the main speaker amplifier. Replaced it with OEM. In hindsight, I would have like to put a more powerful after market one so I could get some more power out of the system.

did you notice any visible issues with it before buying one ? Just to make sure I’m having the same issue Would it be the one near the subwoofer or under the steering wheel ?
We replaced the amp under the dash. That’s the one for the tweeters etc.
The amp at the subwoofer behind the rear seat is only for the sub.
once replaced everything worked well. It’s been 2 or 3 years now with no issue.
My issue was on a 2010 F-350. All left side speakers didn’t work. Right side speakers and sub worked fine.

just ordered a oem amp hoping that my issue everything worked fine before no issues and it just stopped all I did was put the new speakers with the stock connectors and that’s it don’t think it’s a wire issue since it was fine even before the new speakers
So still having this issue ordered a oem amp coming in today changed out the fuses put my stock head unit on and nothing really hoping it’s the amp cause I’m lost I know it can be wires but that’s something I dont have time for at the moment
