Will FI head fit on older block?

I just blew up the low end of my 300 in an 89 econoline after 247k miles. I have an 83 econoline that is rusted to pieces, but with a low mileage rebuilt 300 in it. Will the FI head of the 89 bolt up to the 83 block? Don't want to pull anything until I find out. Cheers..

Yes the head will fit. If vans have a knock sensor like F-series you will have to modify it to fit the older block.
