My 49 F1 has an OLD Signal Stat 900 turn signal assembly clamped on the column. It quit working altogether and the cast metal in it has broken in 2 different places (the signal handle literally just popped off into my hand). It's supposed to have an inline fuse, but the previous owner apparently never installed it (trust me, I have looked). The truck is still 6 volt positive ground. I'm trying to buy a new one. Two questions--1)does anybody carry NEW (or NOS) Signal Stat brand turn signals? and 2) Are there dedicated 12 and 6 volt versions of these things? Or is it just a matter of whether or not I install a 6 volt flasher or a 12 volt flasher? Thanks in advance.
The Signal Stat 900 is still available. There's several on ebay all the time. My understanding is that the difference between the 6v and 12v units is the indicator bulb inside the box, in addition to the flasher unit. Both of those are easily changed. You might try your local NAPA dealer or a truck stop parts store.
If your not interested in "old" unit you can get several new brands of turn signal units with and without 4 way flashers.
Check any dune buggy shop , they will have several ones as well as oreilly's. I bought one for my old mercury for $25 at the local dune buggy supply store

Thanks to all of you guys. I just bought that NOS one that Steve found. Actually, I tried NAPA today. They don't carry them anymore and they couldn't find them in the computer. I need to post a picture of what's left of my old one. It's made exactly like all of those other ones, but that handle is really unique. It has a round wooden **** on the end. And based on how perfectly it fits that handle, I honestly believe it was made that way from the factory.
