77 400 alternator mounting

I've had the alternator off my 77 for so long, i dont even remember how it goes back on.

Does anyone happen to have any pics of how it is mounted?

The top bolt goes into the corner of your head, while the bottom one will swing in and out(for adjustment) on another bracket.

I will try and find a picture....

Two long and skinny bolts should hold the bracket and go into the water pump. The thicker long bolt goes through the the bracket, through the alt's top eyelet, and there should be a nylon spacer between the alt and the block that the thick bolt goes through, then the bolt threads into the block. Then the bottom eyelet should go in front of the bottom bracket, and the small bolt should go through the bracket and thread in to the alt.

Remember to keep everything relatively loose, so things have the opportunity to move or shift if they need to. Also, don't forget to hook up the wires to the back side of the alt before you install.
