Leaf spring Compatibility

Leaf spring Compatibility
Does anyone know what the compatibility/interchangability of leaf springs are on 2wd trucks through what model years. Specifically would leafs from a '73 f100 fit a '95 f150 or vice versa....I used these model years as they are the two trucks I own. I know the shackles and hangers fit so I am thinking the leafs would fit.....I know the '73 would be rated for less load as it is a f100. Anyway....input would be appreciated!

If I remember right they should swap back and forth. I know the 4wd springs on the later trucks (like your 95) are 3" wide, vs. 2.5" wide on the 2wds, but since both of your trucks are 2wd this isn't an issue.
The main thing to look at is the centering pin location in the leaf and how far from the center of the front mounting hole it is.
