cigarette lighter 2004 f-250
cigarette lighter does not work but power point does. seemed to blow both with use of a power converter plugged in the power point. after hooking up my phone charger the power point works but the lighter does not. checked fuse already. according to manual both are on same fuse. HELP...LOL

Welcome to the forum!
If both are indeed fed by one fuse,I suspect either a defective Lighter socket,or open "cross-connect" between the power point,and lighter.There is a possibility that the lighter ONLY is fused between the power point,and itself.This would of course indicate double fusing on that circuit,but it wouldnt surprise me.
You could check this by the following..Disconnect the battery, using a Digital Volt Meter in the Ohms position,check for continuity between the center pin on the power point,and center point on the lighter.It should show a short.Then check the shell continuity between both.It should also show a short,AND they both should show a short to frame ground.
