Hi all, quick question regarding fuel pumps and tanks. I've got the dual tank system on my '95 F-150, and as luck would have it, the front tank has a very weak pump (truck shakes when running it) and the rear tank leaks.
First off, do these pumps swap between each other? Could I put the rear pump in the front tank?
Also, I was given a rust free '79 F350 rear tank. It had a carbed engine. Could I place one of my EFI fuel pumps in this tank? If not, could I modify the tank to do so? If not, is there an EFI fuel pump I could get that would drop into the 79 tank?
I would check under my truck, but this Michigan winter has me inside as much as possible. Mainly trying to find out if I should start cleaning up the 79 tank, or if it's a lost cause.
the 79 tank wont work at all with your set up ! I do believe you can swap the pumps between the tanks , call parts store and see if there is a difference between the two !
