?????? anyone know??????

oK I bought a 1988 ford f250 and it was running great the steering collumn went out of it and i put a new one in it and it wouldn't do anything so i took it to a local mechanic and he put a push button start on it and a new computer and its cranking and the fuel pump is kicking on but not starting it has the efi 351 anyone know what it could be

Did you happen to change the ignition switch on the column? Why would a mechanic put a push button start on it instead of fixing the issue?

And what do you mean the steering column went out?

I don't understand how a push-button start is going to fix this.

I agree. You clearly have a mechanical failure inside the column and he puts in a new ECU? And a push-button start on top of it? Get your truck back and take it to somebody else would be my recommendation.

I put a new steering column in it due to those reasons and its cranking and cranking and gettn fire it just seem like the motor isnt gettn fuel

You should really be looking for a qualified mechanic...

Keep this guys number though, he MIGHT be able to snake out the sewer line when it stops up....

Just keep him away from your truck!!!!!
