oK I bought a 1988 ford f250 and it was running great the steering collumn went out of it and i put a new one in it and it wouldn't do anything so i took it to a local mechanic and he put a push button start on it and a new computer and its cranking and the fuel pump is kicking on but not starting it has the efi 351 anyone know what it could be

Did you happen to change the ignition switch on the column? Why would a mechanic put a push button start on it instead of fixing the issue?

the key wouldnt turn and the gear shift wouldnt move from park it has a new ignition switch
Why would a mechanic put a push button start on it instead of fixing the issue?

You should really be looking for a qualified mechanic...
Keep this guys number though, he MIGHT be able to snake out the sewer line when it stops up....
