400 cash

Ok guys I have 400 cash and its eating me up. So should I do a muffler delete on my stock exhaust and get some gages or just buy a full 4 inch turbo back system. I am up for suggestions for a gauge set up and have this silverline system in mind

A lot of guys will argue that you dont need the 4'' exhaust and the stock exhaust is fine, ME I say ditch it and get a 4'' lol. What else do you have done to your truck and what do you plan to do with it? Go fast, better mileage?

Muffler delete is awfully cheap and plenty up to the task of mild power. I seperated mine right after the cab and attached a 6" chamber with a 45 on it pointed toward the ground. Loud deep sound. Can't let my cummins neighbor be the only one echoing through this valley. I guess gauges depends on how little you want to get with your
$400. High end gauges are spendy. Cheap gauges are... well cheap.
I also kept my old exhaust (and every other stock piece on the truck) just in case the smog ***** come to Texas.

I'm the other way around.
I would be wanting those gauges bad.
Stock exhaust is 95% as good as a 4" exhaust if you get rid of the muffler.

yep, get the exhaust, and a 6637 airfilter. Your gonna eventually need airflow in and out to make power. and if you lower the EGT 50* here and 100* there before you know it it's blowing ice out the tailpipe

$200 Buys the F5 and depending on which tunes he wants he could afford 4 tunes, roughly. If you want to make a big difference thatd be the way to go. Thats what I would do and then when he comes up with a little more $$ do the muffler delete.
DP doesnt conceder an intake or exhaust to be mods, without them youll get the same tunes as if you had them

I don't agree, you need gauges before you get tunes.

6637 has already been done the rest is stock. I plan on getting a camper or a BIG boat in a few years when things pick up but for now I am just trying to get better mpg, a little performance and longevity. That’s why I am just thinking about chopping the muffler and getting some decent gauges so I can add the dp later and all is set up and waiting. Next month I will be changing the hpop seals and turbo seals maybe do my Intercooler Boots with a kit from clay.

If you are pulling the turbo make sure you add the wicked wheel or ATS compressor housing. This will prevent turbo surge you will get with a chip.

this is the way to go. You can enjoy the use of the gauges now but if you dropped the $$ on a chip you wouldn't enjoy that to its fullest until you get gauges
