Stupid question ...To turn the choke on, is it pulled or pushed in on a 1960 f100?
1. You don’t need a choke in California! Pump the poop out of it.
2. Pull out, but it’s not a (electrical) off and on thing, it’s a variable mechanical thing (holding the accelerator / gas petal down a little releases some of the resistance) that might take just a part application and some adjustment as the engine warms up.
3. In some of the towns around here most things work backwards so this might not apply in all locations.
I don't have a breather on my carb, so I pump the pedal to get the choke all the way out, then start feathering it in after it has cranked. Out is start on a '60.
