i have never seen 6 cylinders that are low and exactly the same, and the other 2 higher but exactly the same. what would cause EVEN compression loss on 3 cylinders per side?
have any body heard of a "wet or dry" test? You can do the test wet and dry. Check the lbs. dry and then give a little shot of oil in the plug hole and check the lbs. If the pressure goes up wet, then the rings are losing the pressure. If the pressure is the same wet or dry, then it's a good chance that it needs a valve job
never hear of that till i researched. i will try this later today. the intake manifold is off the truck so it can not run. how bad is it to do a compression test on a cold motor? and how much oil should i put in the cylinder?
just got back the heads and he said that the heads are perfect. no carbon build up, valve seats were perfect. seals are perfect, springs are perfect. No problems out of these heads
