Six years ago when I did mine I never saw those pictures or heard not to use a torch. I USED A TORCH!! I guess I got lucky!

Hate to admit it, but I used a torch too. It was a major PITA, but I finally got it. Stainless does not cut well with O/A. I got lucky as well, I can still see where I got too much flame on the metal heat shield on the fire wall.

The problem with wrap is it holds in moisture, ceramic is the way to go
