on there left side of your throttle body there is a rubber nipple make sure thats new an tight second the idle control modual is on the right side of it warm your engine up or drive it for about five minutes un plug the modual. before you unplug note where its idling if its around 2000 like you said un plug it it should drop down between 500- 900. wich is where it should be. An instead of buying that new wich had done you coulda unplugged it an tested it like this or drove like this the only difference is in the mornings or when you first start your truck it might wanta die at first. because you unplugged the iddle control. but rev it up just a little for like 20 seconds an she'll idle just fine.
