1994 bronco ecm/pcm computer location and removal

1994 ford bronco pcm locaton and removal instructions .........the ecm/pcm is behind the drivers kick panel but you access and remove it from the engine compartment.. the pcm/ecm computer is located on the firewall closest to the driverside fender and below the cruise control box but again its location is on the firewall.. remove a black plastic cover that clips on to protect the wiring harness that is plugged into the pcm. remove the screw from the center of the plug and unplug the harness ....next there is 2 nuts on the rubber housing...... remove the 2 nuts and the rubber ring.. next . you will need to unscrew the plactic wheel well cover (starting at the drivers door working toward to front of the vehicle usually about half way is good) next... going inside of the vehicle remove the kick panal (em brake area) at this point its very hard to see the pcm its behind the brake bracket (4 this i use a piece of wood 1x2 about 16 in long) gently place on the back of the pcm and push becareful sometimes thier stuck in place and others times they side with ease. ... push the pcm out of the hole into the engine compartment at this point reach in between the fender and the unpined wheel well and retrieve the pcm.
