I'm really looking forward to bringing my truck to this year's Run, but I do have to wonder how the guys with the F1's and F100's feel about us bringing our bigger trucks. I have had my truck at some cruise in's along with the Fall Ford Truck Fest and some antique truck shows last year, but this will be the first F100 run for me.
I'm just hoping I can have at least the bed finished by then. I finally got the side rails and the bumper mounted Friday. I cut all the floorboards and router'd the edges yesterday. Now comes a lot of sanding and about a month of staining and varnishing.
Hey Joe, dont worry about having a "Big" truck they are WELCOME too!! We love all Ford trucks!!! By the way man, your truck bed is looking good man!! Cant wait to see it in person. Garry says youre a good dude, so I cant wait to meet you too. Its a big old Ford family reunion down there plus KK donuts
Hey Donald, thanks for posting everything. It made me feel better when I opened the mag and saw the pics, crazy little things that perk you up, by the way I'm doing great, still weak as a cat but feel find and thanks to everyone for the get well wishes, it means a lot to have good friends, the ones you have met and the ones still to shake hands with. God bless all and FTE, Garry

Garry, so far I used a couple of small brake fitting off of it and pulled the starter to use on the '46 Mercury. Hey, did that thing run when you got it? The motor doesn't seem stuck, as I was able to turn it by hand, but it would only turn about 3/4 turn in each direction. Don't know if that might simply be a stuck valve of something worse. Of course there is virtually no demand for those big old 6's so I probably won't do anything with it. Still trying to figure out just what transmission it is, I believe that engine came with the synchro silent and if so, if it would bold up to my engine.
The wife cut that script out of a piece of Walnut and then I super glued it and countersunk some screws. I have all but 4 of the 13 floor boards ready to stain and should have those 4 ready today or tomorrow. It will take me about 30 days (depending on the temp and weather) to stain and varnish those boards before installing. I have an antique truck show in Knoxville April 8 & 9th that I'm hoping to have the floor done by. Looks like I'll be cutting it pretty close.
After that I have 10 weeks to get all the lumber for the stake sides planed, cut, assemble, stained and varnished before The GSMF100. Plus, I still want to get the engine detailed and painted by then. That's gonna be close, but I'll be there regardless.

No problem Garry. Our scanner had been on the blink for a moment. Finally got it going. Glad you are feeling better. You are so right about the crazy little things that perk you up. One of my Music City F100 buddies called me last Tuesday and said did you see your truck it is in coverage of the F100 run in Pigeon Forge. I didnt get my issue until Friday and sure enough there it was faded paint and all. Yep FTE is a great place where people with common interest make friendships beyond that one common interest.
HEY JOE, do you have the SM F100 RUN dates handy, my grandaughter Courtney is trying to plan around classes and ask off work for that trip, she really has a good time there, this will be three yrs. for her as she has made a lot of friends there aswell, thanks Garry
I haven't commented yet because i haven't seen the pictures but finally today the magazine showed up. It was really cool to be able to look at the pictures and go I know that one and I know that one. The trucks are all cool for different reasons and deserve to be there.
