A little off topic need advice

Alright i am looking into getting a air compressor but i dont know what i am looking at ,i am wanting to run imact wrenches and air ratchets and occasianly a paint sprayer and nail gun, i know most of you on here probalby own one so i am just looking into what size i would want what brand, what cfm so a few pointers would be of great help i am not looking top drop a grand on one, but if i am going to get one i might as well do it right the first time.

It really doesn't take that much air to run impact wrenches & air ratchets. Air grinders & sanders take a lot. A 3-5 hp compressor with a 30-50 gal. tank should do well. Most tools have the air requirements listed, and most compressors list their output.
Painting requires an oilless compressor...

i got a 33gal craftsman and it works good on every thing i even used it to sandblast a horsetrailer and it did ok for that and sandblasting takes alot of air if you put a dryer on it like i did its great for painting
