OK, guys. I have ordered the 2011 6.7L Diesel Crew Cab FX4 SWB Lariat. I have been reading through some of the excellent threads on this forum to get a sense of what to expect and what to look out for in my new truck.
I know from the thread on wheel hop that I should take the service rep or technician for a nice long test drive at varying speeds over mulitiple road surfaces to check for rear wheel bounce. It sounds like I should test the shocks and look for run-out in the drive shaft. Does it also make sense to ask them to check the wheel balance and alignment?
What should the dealer check themselves on a brand new truck before taking delivery or before putting it in my hands? What items would you include in a pre-purchase checklist? I know I will be excited about how great the new truck is over my 2000 7.3L rust bucket. I don't want to miss the opportunity to check out anything that could be a problem down the road so to speak.
