Actually, YES they ARE neccessary. In diesel drag racing and sled pulling it is a rule that the exhaust must point up. Bullhaulers, like mine, are acceptable in most cases. I run the haulers b/c not as many people have them. Didn't exactly think of that, did you? I'm not about to put a turn up on a regular single exhaust and if I'm going to have stacks, it might as well be equal on both sides..

Stacks are not necessary everywhere. Actually, most places are not necessary, but you need cross bolts

haha you win. but everyone will do somethin to there truck that someone else isnt going to like. but isnt that what makes it unique?
Edit: DieselBrad i second that. our truck pulling events and drag strips do not REQUIRE exhaust pointing up

I have dual stacks too.... On my Freightliner heavy hauler. Yeah I drive a real truck during the day. didnt think of that now did ya...My pickup exhausts under the truck,
