Hello everyone!! I am a noob and have been unable to find any info on swapping the front suspension from a fox body mustang to a 73-79 f100. Can anyone help? I have read the entire write up on the cv swap, but would like to find info on the mustang swap. Looking to aquire jy parts for the most part. Thank you in advance
'haven't seen anyone with a Fox-body suspension swapped into a dent... prolly cuz it's too narrow and requires lots of fabrication to mount the arms, steering, and such. In the end, it's not worth the headache.
However, there are quite few Mustang II-style swaps available in the aftermarket. Note that I stress Mustang II-style... the original M-II parts are marginal at best but Ford got the M-II design and basic geometry right the first time and the aftermarket has improved upon it. Check Paul Horton's Welder Series, Fatman Fabrication, Heidt's, etc.
Ive done it, in all reality, its expensive and alot of work. If I was going to do it again, I would probably go the CV route with some 2 inch drop spindles. I have a 4 link setup in the rear, and would definately do that again.
