5 Speed to Auto Conversion
Hi All !!
I have a 89 F150 4X4 with a Mazda 5 speed, I would like to convert to an automatic.
Has anyone out there performed this conversion ? And, can anyone tell me what transmissions from what years can be swapped into this application ?
Lastly, assuming that I would be installing the correct trans for my year (89), can anyone supply me with a shopping list of parts and components that are needed ? I of course, know the major components like steering column, pedal set, and trans but I don't want to overlook any of the finer details.
