92 Ranger won't start

Cranks but won't turn over. It kind of chugs like it wants to start, but won't. Don't really know where to start ...

How many cylinders?? Fuel injected?? Did it run OK the LAST TIME you drove it?? Or did it act up WHILE it was running last time??

check and see if you can here your fuel injectors making noise when you turn your ignition to the on .if not then your fuel pump needs replacement or something and check your battery too

Sorry ... yet another stupid question. ALL '92's were fuel injected. That leads me to suspect the same as a previous reply, fuel pressure.

92 Ranger won't start

I had the same problem with my 92 Ranger. I changed the fuel pump, and that did not work. I had fuel pressure, air, spark, everything it needed but just would not start. What I ended up finding was a relay in the engine compartment on the passenger side by the firewall was going bad. Try to find it, and just move the wires a bit, knock on it, whatever. There are a few over there so just play with them all. There is a good chance that will be the problem. Let me know how you make out....Jay
