Slave Cylinder Question

My slave cylinder went out tonight. My truck is a 1994 F150 with the 300 and the junk *** Mazda 5spd. A buddy of mine said he's got a slave cylinder from a 92 ranger that's mine if i want it. Is it compatible? I just don't want to spend $125 bucks on a piece of aluminum tubing surrounded in plastic with a few fittings on it.

The Ranger, I think, used a light duty Mazda so they may not be the same.
I would go to rockauto.com and enter details of both trucks and compare the part numbers and then you would be sure.
