Clockspring

Horn and speed control quit working 3-4 months ago. Searched FTE and decided it must be the clockspring. Put in new clockspring today. Horn and speed control still don't work.
The swap seemed pretty straight forward. I guess I could have installed it wrong. "duh" It does just like before. Radio and climate control work. No horn no cruise. Is there anything I should look for when I pull it out tomorrow. Anyone have a checklist of other causes? Thanks in advance!!

I did check them originally when the problem first appeared. I did not check this time, but will today. Thanks for the reminder.

Wondering about the cruise control myself, the harness off of the brake cylinder seems okay, replaced the VSS, checked the cruise control box on the passangers side of the engine compartment spotless inside, cables seem fine, had my son push down on the brake pedal and the solenoid ( on the brake cylinder) make the old ohm meter jump. I looked in the manual but I guess I missed it as I didn't see any mention of a fused circuit for the cruise, know there must be one but the owners manual doesn't list. Which should I be looking at. Thanks

JH818, good call. The horn fuse was blown. I don't know when but I'm glad to have it working again. Thanks, reps sent

Trekker58, I think it was number 37. The owners manual page 169-170. No where have I seen mention of the same fuse for horn and speed control. Today thanks to JH818 I replaced the one fuse and horn and speed control came back to life.

Went with a post from somewhere that said to use the ON button for the test for cruise when it should be the off button, did the test and all buttons ( for cruise) work,) at the last button press, set/acel, I don't get a flash on the cruise light right away but get 3 flashes-deacvtivator switch is open or a circuit is open- have checked the brake override switch and as I said nothing on it till my son pushed the brake pedal then the ohom reading jumped. Anywhere to go from here would be great. Thanks---

Trekker, I think everyone just went away. Sorry I did not follow up. My fuse has blown again. Actually it blew the next time I used the horn. I have not had time to work on it yet. Research points to the master cylinder switch and or the cruise servo. I don't know the hows or whys, but I will report back if I learn. Good Luck

Well have you tried replacing the horn?
