HPOP servicing

Air test showed air loss at pump shaft seal. after inspection the seal isn't even in the casting its spining on the shaft. Is this seal replaceable or should i buy new HPOP?

When i fill with oil and place my finger over the discharge i cant spin pump by hand.

Because the seal came out of the pump and is a nonservicable part.

If it wasnt soo hard to get to i would peck the seal in and try but it took me 4 hours to remove (part of that was finding a way to plug discharge line to air test system without pump on. Two pieces of rubber and a c-clamp helt to 100 psi.)

The seal didn't just come out by itself. It came out for a reason. Defective seal, defective housing, internal case pressure (rare), who knows....... At this point you're better off going with a new pump. If you repair the old pump and it fails again you've wasted a lot of time and money twice, not to mention the fact that you can do some PM while you have the top off the motor.
