Hey guys the multifunction switch(thats the switch with the wipers and signals on them) went on my 95 f 250(351w auto).im picking up a new one in the morning.I see 4 holes under the steering wheel and I never put one of things in before.I was told I can get it in without removing the ignition and just lift up on the plastic cover with a screw driver is this true?I really don't know how do get the ignition out and dont really want to if I dot have to lol.Anyway what tools to I need to get the plastic cover off to replace this thing??is it just a screw driver I need or another tool to take the cover off?how hard of a job is this for a first timer?need some help here.any info will help.
Thanks I need to buy me one of those haynes repair manuals,it doesnt say that I have to remove the ignition does it?Im guessing I dont since you didnt type it but I want to be sure thanks this helps me alot.
What 88n94 said! I did this a few weeks ago. It’s a tight but do-able. I did not remove the ignition.
Be careful when pull off the wires. Sometime the little tabs that hold the wires into the back side of the plug brake off and the wire will slip out of its socket. Drove me nuts trying to figure out why my left turn signal would only work with the steering wheel in the far up position.
