boost tube

Just wondering if I plug the wastegate and remove the red tube will this hurt the motor and or the Turbo.

The only thing that it could do is cause your truck to create too much boost, but if your truck is stock I am told that it is not possible to do that. I did mine (stuck the red tube on the stud of a boot clamp) and havent had any problems. I read up on it before I did mine just like you are doing.

I tried doing that and it made no difference in boost pressure tuned or not. If you have a boost guage try not to go over 30ish psi I think??? Someone correct me if Im wrong because I cannot think of what the stock turbo will safely spin at.
