Is there any reason to check vacuum with a vacuum gauge?
I mean, will it tell me anything?
I've fixed a few vac leaks with patch hoses and it seems to hold my tongue when I suck on it but my egr valve seems to buzz/chatter when I suck on the vac lines out of the coffee can too.
I just have that very polite,, almost unnoticable miss in my 92 150 straight 6. Never misses when I accelerate fast... just slow cruise holding steady say 30 mph.
Mileage around 11mpg, new cap, rotor, most expensive lifetime napa wires, fuel filter, eec, disconnecting egr doesn't change anything.
There are quite a few on here that say they just live with that slight miss. after changing ALL kinds of parts and sensors.
Sometimes it idles perfectly, sometimes it pops here and there..with NO rhyme or reason or temperature./ dampness, foggy or sunny.
I bet my mileage would go up if I could figure it out.
