Troyer Performance?
Does anyone know anything about Troyer Performance when it comes to tuning the 6.0L PSD? They do great work on the gassers, just not sure on the diesels.

Based on several other forums, unless you are willing to wait for over a year, I would pick another tuner.
Mike Butler, 5startuning.com (fordmdb), has an EXCELLENT reputation and is a forum sponsor.

For the 6.0l Sparten and Innovative seem to be at the top of the list. I would go down to the 6.0l forum and ask. Lots of guys run tuners there. I looked into Troyer but I wasn't waiting 8 weeks for 3 tunes for my Xcal. I went with 5 Star instead (for my gasser) and am extremely glad I did.

Too bad, Troyer used to be pretty active on here and quick to respond to people's questions. However, they were mainly tuning for gassers.
I've talked with a few people that have had some iffy experiences with regard to them. However, I personally can't speak to that.

Innovative(whom I have gotten tunes from when I still used the SCT tuner) has actually gone down the list as being hard to get ahold of and get tunes from. I personally didn't have that problem, but this seems to be a recent development.
The tuner for SCT that has taken Innovative's place seems to be Matt at Gearhead.

I bought my SCT X3 from Troyer. I got tired of waiting for my custom tunes so on Friday I called Mike @ 5 Star. We talked around noon and I had my custom tunes in my email by 5 pm. I'm currently running a 87 performance tune and my truck runs great. When I get my tunes from Troyer I will compare them.

Have an 2010 stang and went in on the 20th... car will be dyno tuned by Troyer on the 30th... yes they do do cars... would have done it that day but they are booked solid... they are the little guys in a big buisness and do a great job in our little town.... i give them an a plus ... they take so long cause they are so busy... i would recommend them based on my buddies f250 desiel they tunned

If anybody is in the southwest VA area there is a new place in Bedford VA doing dyno tuning on all fords , diesel and gas and they are SCT certified tuner , they also carry , Edge , Bully Dog , and Diablosport

Spartan has some of the best time proven dependable tunes for the 6.0 Matt knows that engine better than any body short of navistar, I've got nearly 100k on a 07 with some pretty serious HP gains I tow over 15k regulary and it has had 1 trip to the dealer, a EGR cooler at 96k, that's with no studs, never pukes no turbo issues no starting issues! He's a magician! IMHO!
