Fuel Filter Problem

Hi

I have a problem with my new fuel filter ..
I bought a new one from Fram, and at this Filter the Cover and Filter are one and that is the Problem. At Rockauto I can buy only a Fuel Filter which comes into the old Black Cover.

I need help to remove the new fuel filter from the new cover, because I have tightened it to strong so it have become a crack

Please Help

You can't take the cap off that filter. Either get the filter without the cap and use your old cap, or get a new filter with the cap on. I have had the filter with the cap leak a couple times, now I will only use the filter without the cap built on.

Most likely you are better off not using the fram filter.

If you need a new cover spend a few extra dollars and get a billet cover. Don't remember the names but a couple of places make a better cover out of aluminum - best part about these is they have a nut pattern machined into the top. Much easier to get off than the stock cover.

Last I knew, Clay @ Riffraff was a dealer for Midwest Trans. We should get him on this.

Does Rifraff carry the special made wrench for getting the stock fuel filter lid off?

My 00 still has the stock lid on it but it can be a pain to get off sometimes.

I don't think Clay carries them, probably because you can get them anywhere on the 'net.

I've seen them for 12 to 14 bucks online. Amazon has 'em for 20 bucks.
