I know this is common problem but im looking for a grille for my 69 f100 and if your in CA that would be even better. But if anyone has one or has any leads please LMK. TIA
ive been looking for a aluminum one for a long time i have a steel one. once i stop looking ill end up with 10 but that is how it goes for me
Yeah im so pissed my wife backed into my truck with her jeep and since my truck is bagged and was on the ground her hitch went right through my grille it was a flawless aluminum grille until yesterday.
I've wound up with two pretty nice aluminum 69 grills sitting in my basement. I had them on the local used site, but no bites. The problem is shipping something like that - I'm in Canada, to add to the difficulties..

Had same problem. The grille I have wasn't too bad. I followed the advice of the guys in FTE. See the articles about restoring or polishing aluminum. If you find steel grille you can get it chromed. I got my aluminum grill to clean up pretty good with oven cleaner, buff wheel, and alot of polishing compound. Check out Chico from Corona, CA? He sometimes has really nice grilles (he sells on ebay)

There was a name change for chico. It's now robertthegrilleguy I'm in Hemet Ca.
Steel looks great when chromed. Easier to keep polished. My opinion, the aluminum has that old classic look to it. Very expensive to replace, but I think it's the focal point of the 60's F100's. Depends on what you're going for restoration, customizing, or just a nice looker.
