Hi,
First time poster, please be kind.
I've got a 1950 F1 body with a 1966 FE428 on a 1974 F100 4x4 chassis. I'm in the process of removing the motor to 'refresh' it and wanted to know if i could leave the NP435 tranny & NP205 transfer case on the chassis. I see a stock cross member holding up the transfer case and am afraid this might not be strong enough to hold up the tranny after i remove the motor using the engine hoist.
Also, the radiator and fenders are off. Essentially motor on chassis so clearance for motor is not an issue.
