I got some nitto terra grapplers from ntb about a year ago and i have put 29,000 miles on them (rotated once) and i swear they look like they have about 60 to 65% tread left...and they are SO quiet. Also awesome in every road condition...pretty good in the "light" mud too....with a trailer... tow 4-5 days a week with them.

Here is my online tire issue ..
the last 6 tires and rims I bought local had issues and I only wanted 4 good ones ,, the Eagle rims leaked from casting holes and the ballance jobs were questionable
if this were an online purchase I would have been screwed

To the OP. Go to tirerack.com to help with your decision. They have alot of tire reviews that might help you decide. A couple of my favs are the BFG AT's and are some of the toughest tires in the industry with a 60k warranty. Nitto's Terra Grapplers are a great tire and balance and wear well but aren't a high mileage tire. Regardless of your choice, most agressive AT tires are going to hold and throw rocks to some extent.

I had the bfg AT ko's for 1k miles they wouldn't balance out. Wasted 2 weeks of my life going back and forth to discount tire. Finally put the rugged trails back on,(new) no prob's since. Rugged trails aren't what I wanted but they don't shake me to death!

i just ordered new tires and wheels, fierce attitude 315-75-16 and motometal rims
i work for goodyear in beaumont texas where we make rubber, im a welder.
we sale to alot of tire co, cooper, perreli, bfg, kelly, dunlop. and more.
i really wanted to get goodyear mt/r but there on backorder.
the duratrac is a 10 ply E rated tire and some guys at work have gotten 60k miles with good rotation.
the fierce tire is kinda agressive tread but i daily drive a small car so i dont drive the truck alot so the mt's should last a while.
i have toyo open country at's on the back i bought them used and they have worn like iron.
i dont know who makes the toyo's rubber and i hate to promote another co, but if price was no object , and i had to daily drive my truck i would go with ether toyo opencountry a/t or the m/t
just my o2

You might want to look at Hankook DynaPro ATm's. I have them on my F250 and like you, am 95% on-road. Snow, rain, whatever, they just grip & go. Many sizes come "E" rated as well in case you tow.

Thanks guys...I do really like the Toyo Open Country M/T but worried that I will be sliding around on the freeway when its raining. I use my truck for traveling, 80% of the time its in the freeway.
Thanks ~Gage~

I don't know about the MT but the Toyo AT is awesome on the freeway. I have yet to find a complaint on them.

My vote would be Toyo MT. I've had two sets, and they are awesome. Rain, snow, and especially mud. I just bought my 08 and it has brand new goodyear wrangler ats's, and I'd like new tire wheel combo. Just trying to decide if I want to try and sell the set (new tires and 20" king ranch wheels) or wait till these are worn and slap on some Toyo's then.

As for online dealers, I buy all my tires from here. They are an hour from me, but sell a shiitepile of tire/wheel packages. They seem like reasonable prices, and when other dealers have been saying that "x" tire is on backorder, they usually have em in stock at their warehouse. Just my $0.02

If you are considering the Dura tracs, I have read a lot of reviews on them as I was considering them for my X. A lot of the reviews I read stated a "squishy" ride on heavier trucks. Parsonally, I won't buy anything other than a GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armour. I currently have over 70,000 miles on mine and they are the best winter tire I have ever used. Just my opinion. Good luck

my buddy has the toyo MT's and they are the quietest MT tire i have heard on the road and they last long also. i had a set of bridgestone dueler revo AT's and i got 65,000 miles at of them. i currently have BFG AT's with 48,000 miles. im looking at new rims and bigger tires myself and im going with the toyo's i just dont know what rim yet
