I just purchased an '08 F350 with the factory navigation. There was no CD that came with it, and when trying to select the nav option, it says 'Invalide Disc Detected', when there is nothing in it anyway.
The place I bought the truck from says that the CD needs to be in for the nav to work. Is that true?
And which CD should I get, I see there are a number of options on Ebay with different versions.
I have an older map (4p i think). I've only used the navigation a few times, since I just bought the truck a month ago. I got to my destination each time following the arrows, but once I got close, it said guidance not available in this area. is this normal, as you get really close (a number of very short distances between turns) for the voice guidance to go off, or is it cause the map is old. It still found the actual street address accurately, the route turned yellow, and it said "guidance unavailable, use caution, etc"
