Hi Pat,
You know how when you get a little windfall, and you want to buy something cool, or you fix something for your truck? AND THEN something else breaks because it gets jealouse?? That goes for pool heaters I have just discovered...the wife just called me, she was out checking the chlorine status when the front of the heater door just blew right off the heater!! So, she slammed the emergency shut-off button,(even though the heater shuts down B4 you can even get to that), and shut the gas supply off in a new york second. Fortunatly, she is just shaken up, but the retaining wall I had built, (just for this kind of situation) has a nice gouge in it now...better the wall, not my wifes legs!!
So, she is online checking prices for a new boiler as we speak. I'm just guessing, but I'm sure that what I got for a tax refund is exactly what the heater installed will cost..give or take.
Good Morning Wyo!
Good Morning Pat!
Thanks!! Yeah, the 'ol gal is going to be okay! I went online to check heater prices..funny thing is, just to replace the boiler, costs $800, plus labor, and I need to replace the water inlet as well, (another $370), so I'm lookin at near $1200 just for parts...now, I can totally replace the heater with a new one for $1400!!, plus labor, so probably around $2000. AArrggghhhh!!
We're heading out to town, shopping for shoes, etc., all that kind of junk. Might even slip by the Ford dealer, and check out a F-350 CC FX4. I'd LOVE to have either drk blue, or blk, with blk leather, but the wife hates to look for fun, she just likes to go,buy,go home. Of course, if I bring looking up I'll hear "whyyalookinatthatstuffwegottafixthepoolfirst" LOL!!
Have a great day Pat, I'll be back sometime later!
I"d really like to go drive a 2011 F-250 6.7. But, I'm afraid I'd want it too bad, and the wife would absolutely, positively, NOT go for that! So, I'll just admire from afar!
