for 69.99 i get the pad , which is all i need cause my original is ripped up , like i said before my truck rolled of the line a ranger and is not a clone so i do in fact have a factory console in my truck , just was wondering about the pad
From what I understand, not all the Rangers came with consoles.
My dad had a 65 Ranger back when I was a kid (it was just a used truck at the time ) and I remember it not having a console. I also remember him scavenging a console out of some other vehicle and making it fit between the seats.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start something here, and I'm certainly not a knowledge guru on this topic, it's just that when I saw the eBay ranger, that console reminded me of the one that my dad patched together for his ranger back in the day....and I always thought it was a bit too high.
Whereas, the photos of bigtime restored rangers that I've seen, as well as the factory literature, show a lower, more Mustang looking console.
Of course, I could be wrong....it certainly wouldn't be the first time it's happened.....or the last.
so i have a 1965 ford ranger (buckets console carpet and padded dash) how many of these were made. No production breakdown figures for individual models (Standard, Custom Cab, Ranger) are available for any 1966 or earlier truck.
someone is selling a 1966 ranger on ebay claiming only 1000 were made and i was wondering what the truth is.
The only production figures available for 1965 F100's:
There is nothing else available for 1965 F100's, because Ford THREW AWAY all the data decades ago.
1965/66 Ranger's used the same console as 1964/65 Falcon Sprint. Dearborn Classics (dearbornclassics.com-800-252-7427) has the parts that have been repro'd listed under Falcon.
martiauto.com has EVERYTHING for 1967/79 FoMoCo vehicles, but nothing prior to 1967 or after 1979.
In the late 1980's, Ford was planning to THROW AWAY all the data for 1967/79's. Kevin Marti, a Mustang "nut" in Phoenix AZ found out about Ford's plan...and got ALL of it.
jhooch, I know how ya feel about getting your stuff lifted. I was at work and when I came out of the building, I found my little wing window broken (thats how they got in) and my seats and console gone. Try driving home on an egg crate. ;o( The only seat I could find at the time was a bench. I've not put many miles on the truck since then but recently have been trying to redo it. Mybe I started too late because part replacement is really going to cost me. Bob was nice enough to sell me a set of set brackets and said he has a set of seats for me. Just need to find a cheap way of shipping.
Can I assume from what has been said here that Dearborn classics my have a replaceable console and lid? Wonder what thats going to cost me?
Glad I waven't found the guy that lifted my stuff. Afraid I might be spending time in jail if I found them. HUMMMMM,,, on to better thoughts. :O)

Thanks Bill. I will also check with a friend of mine here. He ships out and receives stuff all the time. He said he gets a good break on shipping. He has been gone for a while but i think he's back. If we both check, maybe we can come up with a good price.

Sorry about your luck. I'm in the process of building a clone and feel your pain on some of the parts. Finally found a console after 2 years and my father in laws flight was late and I didn't make it back in time for the auction closing.
