ignition switch replacement

I have a 90 F150 4.9 2wd auto E4OD. The ignition actuator rod broke, I have been trying to find a junkyard column for a reasonable price but haven't found anything under $200. The ignition cylinder is out of the column and completely useless. This is not a daily driver, mostly just a farm truck.

I am wondering if I can use a new ignition switch like this one:
Ignition Starter Switch - UN12140 By Niehoff - Mills Fleet Farm
and mount it on/under the dash somewhere.

Which wires do I need and where are they located? I pulled apart the grey crescent shaped, 10 wire connector from under the column, it looks like all but two of the wires are for the multifunction switch (according to pg 12-50 of my haynes manual). The two that I cant figure out are yellow/blue and blue.

You ignition switch is not inside the column, it's on top of the column under the dash. Lots more wires under there. You should not have to mess with any of the wires in the plug you unplugged.

Here's a old thread that may help. It shows the ignition switch and some wiring details.
