Re-Replacing Head gaskets and ARP studs with o-ring heads
#16
Yeah, they have have sealant covering the entire gasket surface. I can see how this would improve limp-home capability if the main sealing ring blows, but otherwise they don't offer an improvement. I could also see how the extra sealant on the entire surface could reduce clamping force at the main sealing rings, thereby reducing their effectiveness.

O-Ring Heads arrived
Just wanted to update my own Thread by posting a picture of the New heads with the .04" ring installed in the head protruding around .012" to help seal the compression ring on the HEad gasket. Shawn at Liberator Performance recommended torquing the ARP studs to 230# using the Blue ARp assembly lube, wait 12-24 hours and re-torque once everything has settled. I am putting the truck in the shop on the 17th and will post pictures of the original heads off the truck hopefully showing tale of it leaking combustion.

It's where the two ends of the wire meet. There is a very small gap. I questioned it myself but they assured me this would not cause any leakage cause this ring is surrounded by the combustion ring and that it is only there to put a little more sealing pressure in the middle of the combustion ring. It only sticks up above the head .012" My decision to purchase them was mainly due to my assumption that my heads are either cracked or warped and this would add a little more security hopefully.

In my opinion If you have to go thru the trouble of removing heads to replace studs its a small investment to go with the liberator performance heads. They are $2400 to the door and you get up to $1500 back if the heads you send them for cores are in good shape they pro-rate the damage based on what it takes to get them back to their specs.
