door sticker axle code & another question
My friends fiance just bought a 2006 F250 V8. They are curious what axle it has. The door sticker says 3L or L3 (i don't remember the order).
Also they are wonder how to hook her ipod into the radio. It has a 6-disc changer w/o the cassette player. It has an auxillary button on the radio also.

dana 60 front sterling rear if a SRW 4x4 ,,,,,,there is a tag on the diff bolts giving the ratio and if it is LS
probably is a limited slip
the IPOD = hit up crutchfeild.com ,,,, the aux was for OEM inputs and I am not sure what options are out there for the ipod
but replacment radios are only around 400 with all the options

3L — 3.73 limited slip
41 — 4.10 non-limited slip
43 — 4.30 non-limited slip
48 — 4.88 non-limited slip

4N — 4.10 limited slip
4W — 4.10 limited slip (ambulance package)
53 — 5.38 non-limited slip
5L — 5.38 limited slip

Google "Ford PIE adaptor", that's the stock part for the aux input on the factory radio. It's just a box with RCA inputs, you use an RCA to balanced 1/8th" (3.5mm) plug to hook up any device with a headphone jack. You can't control the device with the radio this way, but it works with anything with a headphone jack.
