After flushing my coolant I wanted to check my EOT/ECT. Should have done this before flushing as a baseline, but swinging for the fence to avoid immediately replacing the oil/EGR coolers. When towing heavy, i got the "wrench" for excessive EOT/ECT differential after getting the latest flash several months ago. No wrench since but have not been towing.
I decided to use my SCT/X2 and LiveLink to watch it on my laptop. Found at least 7 signals to pick from and the data makes little sense, some in "diesel" others in "environmental" section.
signal/reading/comment below:
"coolant temp"/174/ appears like a reasonable reading but seems low
"COOLANT TEMP"/79.996/ if in degrees C it correlates to the one above
"coolant temp volt"/165/ have no clue what this is
"engine oil temp"/13101/ big number but do not know what it means
"ENGINE OIL TEMP"/91.015/ if in degrees C the differential is high but no wrench
"engine oil temp f/"13101/ no clue
"engine oil temp volt"/127/ ?
I was trying to do the same thing on my truck a few nights ago to see my EOT/ECT difference. I selected all those ones that you selected and the only one that would work was the "ENGINE OIL TEMP"...all the rest came up with some error. Hopefully somebody that knows how to use the software will give some support.
