i have a 68 f100 with a 351w and i wanted to know how much and what would i need to install power steering? can i do it myself? also my parking break cables are unwinded and no good and the parking brake doesnt work would replacing those cables fix it?
Do a search in this forum for "power steering" and you'll find lots of threads. I suggest you also search for "disc brakes" cuz the later dentsides can donate a set up for pennies on the dollar.
Parking brakes are nice to have. You'll have to decide whether simply replacing the cables will help... However, it is a good place to start.

Reason: Meant to say dentsides instead o' bumpsides.
the front change is very easy for power brakes and power steering.Get some catalogs from Dennis Carpenter or go on there web site.they sell all the emergency cables
Adding power steering isn't difficult. Basic bolt on. Like John mentioned, make sure of what motor you have to get proper pump/brackets. These trucks didn't come with 351W motors.
When getting e-brake cables, make sure you DON'T get anything Universal. I ended up with one and it was JUNK! Found original replacement versions and now they work.
