P0300 is a code for a random misfire. P0316 is a code indicating the misfire occurred in the first 1000 revolutions.
Possible causes for the P0300 include a faulty Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor, fuel level less than 1/8 tank, stuck open EGR valve, and blocked EGR passages.
Possible causes for the P0316 are a damaged Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor, an issue with the ignition system, fuel injectors, low fuel, poor fuel quality, "base engine", or a damaged PCM.
Have you tried resetting the codes to see if they come back? Have you ever installed a new battery since the vehicle was new? Are you experiencing any driveability issues?
i replaced plugs and wires, they were orig , w/100k miles, i disconected battery and cleared the codes. and it runs great , im guessing that a wire or plug was bad, glad it was an easy fix. thanks
