i would like to say yes you can but the plenums need to be swapped over as well the plenums are 3 inch. i have been considering this specific swap as to i seen a few 1999.5 and up trucks up for the taking

Intercooler from a Superduty can be retrofitted into an OBS. You will need an Early99 spyder though... You can't use the spyder on the later 99.
In order for you to use the late 99 spyder, you need to upgrade to 3" intake plenums and also you need to swap to a SD turbo which will include the turbo pedistal, uppipes, and driver side exhaust manifold.
IMO, just find an early 99 spyder. It's a heck of a lot less work.

Not much of a hassle. Just get the right part... You just need the intercooler, some pipes, a set of boots, some clamps, and the spyder.
It lowers EGT's so if you tow heavy or often, it wouldn't hurt.
