Ground cable hanging from driver side firewall
I've been told I possibly have an engine grounding problem. After the previous owner's rebuild, there this ground cable hanging from the firewall on the driver's side. Not knowing where this is supposed to attach, I attached it to one of the side cover/apron bolts for now. Is this really supposed to attach elsewhere? (My ride is an '81 F100 4.9 2WD manual tranny).

Is that that metal threaded strap? Just bolt it to the block somewhere.
Not having that strap hooked up can really mess with your ignition. I got quite a few good shocks trying to diagnose what was up with mine before I realized I forgot to hook that strap back up.
